I am working on getting a new WordPress site up and I happened on your videos. I watched several of them and they helped me out immensely! Thank you.

Can I beg a question or two? How do I put the search box on the nav bar line?
Thnak you again for work well done!

@Gary: That depends on the theme you are using, but basically, you include the search form in your code and then control its placement with css. The following doc may help get you started…read that and look at how it’s done in the default theme.

I am having trouble with my posts linking to the same category (in everyone of my categories) when you hit “read more” or try to add another comment from the site side. I want the comments in each category to stay on that category post (category), not take the reader to another page (category). Can you help me?

    Thank you

    Hi Fig,
My blog seems to be functioning correctly except that when I click on one of my categories I get a “404 page not found error” Some facts:
-The categories are showing the correct # of live posts inside them.
-in the admin area the categories all show up and the correct posts are under each one.
I use a basic category structure like this:
    http://dessertbuzz.com/category/best-of-new-york-city/
    Any suggestions?

@DessertBuzz: Try setting your permalinks to default and see if they work. If so, then go back and change them to what you had and see if they still work. Sometimes the permalinks just need to be reset for various reasons.

Ok if I use the default permalinks (with the ? and cat #) they all work great! But whern I fill in under “Common settings” “/%category%/%postname%/” the categorie URLS look right, for example “http://dessertbuzz.com/category/best-of-new-york-city/” but the page is still empty.

@DessertBuzz: I’m not a permalink expert. You may want to post this to the WP support forums and see if anyone can help…it could just be the way you have the permalink formatted.

OK. Will do. I did notice that when I use the default the hypoerlinks on the categories change but when I use any of the other settings even the defaults the hyperlinks don’t change? I wonder if something is not working in the code that migrates over the permalink structure when I enter it?
