See the video below for step-by-step directions for “fixing” this problem through phpMyAdmin. If you don’t have access to phpMyAdmin, or are hesitant about messing with the database, see the video in this post for directions on how to “patch” your config.php file to regain access until you can get someone to help you fix the problem in the database.

Hey, thanks for the video. Quite the help. I did what you said — step-by-step. However, I am receiving this error “Error establishing a database connection.” Instead of my stripped down blog. Let me know if you have any more tricks! Thank you. :)

Locked myself out by doing something silly, and quickly learned that this is a common mistake and a relatively easy fix if you know what you are doing — which I did not. But this video explained the steps needed to rectify the situation, and had me up and running in no time at all — Thank you so much — YOU ROCK!!

GOD BLESS YOU!!!! Thank you SO much. I’ve spent HOURS searching for the remedy to fix my well-intentioned error. I woke up this morning, prayed my heart out asking God to help me finally find the solution. And there you were! :-) SO THRILLED. SO RELIEVED. SO GRATEFUL.
