WordPress 2.9.1 Released — Fixes Scheduled Post Problem

January 5th, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

WordPress version 2.9.1 was just released and should fix the annoying scheduled post problem. The problem was scheduled posts weren’t being published on some 2.9 installs — including a couple of my own installs :-( . Instead, when you looked at the list of posts you would just see errors reading “missed schedule” or something similar. There is a way of fixing the problem by editing a core file, but no need now…just upgrade to 2.9.1 and all should be well. Remember…backup, backup, backup before pressing the upgrade button–chances are you will have no problems, but if you do, will be glad you backed up.

    Sorry for the test message. I thought that I couldn’t comment here. I tried to comment here http://educhalk.org/blog/how-to-import-a-large-wordpress-database-an-alternative-to-phpmyadmin but I got an error, it’s not possible to reply to a message.

    @Archana: You can comment…I just moderate all comments to try and keep out SPAM. I usually approve valid comments within a day.

    Hello Figaro, thanks but it wasn’t that. I try to paste an error I got with my wordpress site, but somehow I can’t paste the whole error message. When I try to do that I see a 500 internal error message. I have shortened the message and tried again and now it’s working ;-)

    Well, I feel like I need to comment about this post. I’m not looking for the solution (tho I need one) but after upgrading to the latest release, the problem just started in my site…

    I revise a blog that was updated to the 2.9.1 version and for the five first days, I had missed schedule posts. Then, for four days, everything was okay. And since more than a week all the scheduled posts are missed again.
    Know what could be the problem and what should be done?

    @Lali: No…not sure why it would be intermittent. May want to post to the wp.org forums and see if anyone else has ran into that problem…I don’t read those forums much these days so not sure if others have reported this or not.

    @figaro
    Thank you Figaro. I didn’t anything about that problem on all the forums (in English or in French), so I better post to see if I am the only one in that case!
