iNove 1.4.5 Theme for WordPress– How to Increase the Header Size

In older versions of the iNove theme, increasing the header height was difficult because the header, nav bar, and footer were all part of the same image. However, in iNove 1.4.5 the header is now a single image, so increasing the height is simple. See the following video for step-by-step directions.

Hello, nice post. I learn a lot from your post.
I have tried what you told here, but nothing is changed. The height is not change and no image change after I uploaded a new header file. Is there something I miss? Please, see my blog for some details..

@ Leo: The header height is set to 120px in your style.css. You need to increase this to the height you want and make a header to match.

Thank you so much for this post! I’m working on putting a custom header in right now, and I needed to adjust the header size for that.

Thank you for sharing your learning. I would like to use inove theme as a static page, blog, portfolio and forum and I don’t see the way how to remove from page text (title) as about, home etc. If you can help I appreciated.

@Vlad: About is a page…just delete the page and it will be removed. Home is coded in the header…you will need to open the header.php file and remove it.

This is awesome. I was getting ready to do this and change the colors and it was going to take me some time to get it done.

I do have another question for you. I resized the header and footer but the body is stumping me. Which image is this? I tried to force the size in the style file but it was not working right. Any help is appeciated.

    Thank you!

@Daniel: Just create a new header the same width of the existing header…make it any height you want and then adjust the css for the new height.

Hi man, I use Inove 1.4.6 theme on my WordPress 3.0.5. Why I can’t Edit the header. I have change permission of header.php to 0777, but still have problem. In the header.php editor there isn’t update file button. But in the single.php editor or other (.php), change permission to 0777 is working to show update file button, why only header.php can’t work. I’m sory about my speak not well..

@thekrim: You don’t need to edit the files…just edit the header image and replace it.
