Thank you so much!! Anyway I have a little problem, I can see my blog only without the www.

My first intelligent solution was change the address at General Settings (BIG FAIL...) well, this is solved now thank you to this post, anyway somebody knows how to solve my problem, I'm at Godaddy and I have a CNAME that says www. @ (Normally this works for say that the www. goes to the principal address that is without www. because in theory the www. is a subdomain) Then I suppose that the problem is at Wordpress...

Any help will be appreciated!!

hi,

i accidentally removed wordpress url in the general settings of my site then i couldn't access my site right after that. i followed your video 1) edited config file 2) edit the wp_options in the db and it worked. but they the time i removed the addeed code in the config file, the siteurl and home in wp_options reverted back to it's old value.

the old value when i couldn't access my site was http://ww.raimongonzales.com

i could access my site, but all css, themes, etc were not working. so i'm not sure if i'll just leave the added code in the config file just to keep my site working.

hoping for a reply soon.

thanks.

@.tif: It just depends on how many absolute urls you have in the db to things on your own site...for example, if you entered a url in a post to another post/page on your own site, then the quick fix will not change those.

I used the Quick Fix method from the WP Codex, but it sounds like I should still try and use phpMyAdmin. Honestly, I downloaded it and don't even understand how to install it on the site I'm working on—the instructions are way above my head. There's only so much code I can understand, and I didn't know how to set up a config file for phpMyAdmin. Does this mean I have not really fixed my website? Will I have the wp-admin not found error again?

Thank you! I really appreciate your help for taking the time to explain the difference between patching and fixing. This worked out smoothly and I got my blog back up in a 1/2 hour.
